My payouts are not showing: what to check for Shopify, eBay, Walmart and Etsy

What to check when Shopify, eBay, Walmart, or Etsy payouts do not show in Taxomate.

Taxomate shows a payout after your sales channel pays it out. If you expect a payout and it is not on the Payouts page, work through this list in order. (Amazon accounts see Settlements. See "Amazon settlement missing? Request it, wait for it, or upload the file".)

1. Has the channel paid it out yet?

A payout appears in Taxomate after the channel sends money to your bank. Orders that are still pending do not show.

  • Shopify: Shopify Payments payouts show after Shopify pays them out.

  • eBay: eBay payouts show after eBay pays them out. If you take on-demand payouts, see "Using On-Demand eBay Payouts with Taxomate".

  • Walmart: Walmart payouts come from Walmart's reports. If you take an Instant Transfer, see "Dealing with Instant Transfers from Walmart in Taxomate".

  • Etsy: Etsy can pay once a month. You see one payout each time Etsy pays you. See "Etsy with Taxomate".

Compare with your channel. Find the payout there (date, amount, payout ID). If the channel has not paid it, wait.

2. Is Taxomate still importing?

At the top of the Payouts page, look at the import line.

  • Imports up to date means nothing is waiting.

  • A count of imports in progress, or Importing your {channel} payouts, means the first import is still running. Large accounts can take a few hours. You can leave the page.

  • N imports failed means an import did not finish. Select Import details to see how many are waiting, processing or failed. Then contact support.

On the dashboard, Waiting for your first payout means your first payout is not in yet. Select Check for payouts now. If the page says No payouts from {channel} yet, Taxomate found none. Payouts appear after the channel sends one to your bank on your payout schedule.

3. Is the list hiding it?

The list can hide payouts. Check these:

  1. Look at the tabs. Not sent shows only payouts that are not sent. Select All.

  2. Select Filters. Clear Deposit date, Amount, Marketplace and Archived. If the page says No payouts match these filters, select Clear filters.

  3. If you sell on more than one eBay site, check the Marketplace filter. Set it to All connected marketplaces.

  4. For Shopify, check the Gateway filter. Set it to All gateways.

  5. To find one payout, type its ID in the search box. Search by ID ignores dates. If the page says No payout with ID {id}, check the ID in your channel.

  6. Payouts you archived do not show in the normal list. Select Filters, then Archived, to see them.

4. Is the connection working?

Go to Settings > Connections. Open your channel. If it says it needs to reconnect, select Reconnect {channel} and sign in again. See "Reconnect QuickBooks, Xero, Wave or your store". On the dashboard, a row {Channel} is disconnected has the same button.

5. Channel notes

Shopify

  • Taxomate imports Shopify Payments payouts on its own.

  • Orders paid with another gateway (PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, Afterpay and others) are not in Shopify Payments payouts. Taxomate shows them as separate gateway payouts, only for the gateways you select. Go to Settings > Connections, open Shopify, and select Manage gateways. Choose your gateways, and choose Daily or Monthly grouping. See "How do I enable Shopify payment gateways?".

  • If you need gateway payouts for dates before you selected the gateway, contact support.

eBay

  • Each eBay site is a marketplace in Taxomate. To add a site, open eBay on the Connections page and select Add marketplace.

  • An on-demand payout can show as a WITHDRAWAL until eBay sends the full sales and fees data.

  • If eBay shows the payout as paid and it is not in Taxomate the next day, contact support with the payout ID.

Walmart

  • The Payouts list for Walmart covers the whole account.

  • The first import after you connect reads only the last 15 days. For older payouts, contact support. See "How far back does Taxomate import?".

  • If Walmart cannot be read, the connection may need a new sign-in. Reconnect Walmart and sign in with a Walmart seller account that can approve apps.

Etsy

  • A shop that pays once a month shows one payout a month.

  • Only one Etsy shop is in each Taxomate account. A second shop needs its own account. See "Etsy with Taxomate".

6. The payout is in the list, but not in QuickBooks, Xero or Wave

Importing and sending are two steps. A payout in the list is not in your books until you send it. See "Payouts imported but not sent to accounting" and "What does this settlement status mean?". To see where a sent payout went, select Posting references on its row.

Contact support

If the payout is still missing, contact support from the chat in Taxomate. Tell us:

  • Your sales channel and store or marketplace.

  • The payout ID, the deposit date and the amount in the channel.

  • What you checked: the tab, the filters, and the import line.

Do not disconnect and reconnect to fix a missing payout.
