# How to use QuickBooks Classes for Transaction Types

How to track MFN and FBA sales and fees separately with QuickBooks Classes and transaction types.

Taxomate integrates with QuickBooks Online's Classes so you can track by transaction type.

**STEP 1: Set up classes** In QuickBooks Online, you have to set up classes. Click [here](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/class-list/get-started-with-class-tracking-in-quickbooks-online/01/191381) for directions.

**STEP 2. Map to classes** In Taxomate, go to **Accounts and taxes**. Under the table, select **Mapping settings** and turn on **QuickBooks classes**. This option shows when **Group sales by** is set to **Orders** in **Settings > Invoice**. Save the setting by itself (select **Review and save**), before you change any rows.

You can now choose a different class for MFN and FBA. Open a transaction type with **Show sub accounts**. Under **Class and tracking**, select a QuickBooks class in **MFN class** and **FBA class** for each transaction type you would like to track.
