# How do I delete a journal entry or sales invoice after sending to QuickBooks?

How to remove a journal entry or sales invoice from QuickBooks using Taxomate after you sent a settlement.

After you send a settlement to QuickBooks, you can remove its sales invoice or journal entry from inside Taxomate.

## Step 1. Unmatch the entry from the bank transaction

If you matched the entry with the payment in your bank account, unmatch it first.

1.  In QuickBooks, go to **Transactions > Bank transactions**.

2.  Select **Categorized**.

3.  Find the matched transactions and select **Undo** on the right, under Actions.

## Step 2. Turn off Automatic sending (if it is on)

If **Automatic sending** is on, Taxomate can send the deleted entries again. Select **Change** next to "Automatic sending" at the top of **Settlements** (or **Payouts**) and turn it off first.

## Step 3. Delete the entries

**For one settlement or payout**

1.  Open the settlement.
    
2.  Select **More actions**, then **Delete entries from QuickBooks**.
    
3.  Confirm. (This item shows only after something was sent.)

**For several settlements or payouts**

1.  On **Settlements** (or **Payouts**), select the rows.
    
2.  In the bar at the bottom, select **More actions**.
    
3.  Under **Remove entries**, select **Delete accounting entries**. (The label is the same for payouts.)
    
4.  Confirm.

There is no delete button on the row. The row **⋯** menu has Open, Send…, Rebuild, and Archive.

Taxomate removes the sales invoice (or journal entry) from QuickBooks.
