How do I create a new invoice customer for Xero?

You can create an invoice customer from inside Taxomate.

Step 1. Go to Settings > Connections and select Manage marketplace mappings. (During Quick Setup, use the Payment settings step instead.)

Step 2. Pick the marketplace next to Mappings for. On the Invoice customer row, select Set customer (or Change).

Step 3. In the list, select Create customer in Xero.

Step 4. Enter a Customer name. You can choose any name you like (for example, Amazon.com). Then choose the Customer currency.

❗ IMPORTANT: For currency, select the currency of the marketplace you are creating the customer for. For example, Amazon.com is USD, Amazon.co.uk is GBP, Amazon.de is EUR, and so on.

Step 5. Select Create customer in Xero. Taxomate shows what it will create. Select Create customer in Xero again to confirm.

Step 6. Creating the customer does not select it. Open the Invoice customer row again and select the new customer from the list, or select Select created customer.
