# How to use Xero Tracking for Amazon Transaction Types

How to use Xero tracking categories to track Amazon transaction types, such as MFN and FBA, in Taxomate.

Taxomate integrates with Xero's Tracking Categories so you can track by Amazon transaction type.

⚠️ \_Xero tracking for Amazon transaction types will only work when **Group sales by: Orders** is selected in **Settings > Invoice**. It will not work when grouped by SKU or Amazon transaction types.\_

**STEP 1: Set up tracking categories** In Xero, you have to set up tracking categories. Click [here](https://central.xero.com/s/article/Set-up-tracking-categories) for directions.

**STEP 2. Map to tracking categories** In Taxomate, go to **Accounts and taxes**. Under the table, select **Mapping settings** and turn on **Xero tracking categories**. Save the setting by itself (select **Review and save**), before you change any rows.

You can now choose a different tracking category for MFN and FBA. Open a transaction type with **Show sub accounts**. Under **Class and tracking**, select a tracking category in **MFN tracking category** and **FBA tracking category** for each transaction type you would like to track.
