Using On-Demand eBay Payouts with Taxomate: Sales and Fees Data Considerations

eBay Payouts w/o Sales & Fee Information

Updated over a week ago

eBay's on-demand payout feature offers more control and flexibility over your cash flow by allowing you to manually request payouts outside the normal payout schedule. However, on-demand payouts initially may not include detailed sales and fees data.

Taxomate and On-Demand eBay Payouts

When eBay sends on-demand payouts without sales and fees data, Taxomate logs these transactions as "WITHDRAWAL" in your account.

Sales and Fees Data Reconciliation

To resolve the "WITHDRAWAL" issue with on-demand eBay payouts in Taxomate, we recommend you do the following:

  1. Occasionally follow eBay's standard payout schedule

This ensures that Taxomate receives the complete sales and fee data for previous on-demand payouts.

  2. Reconcile the latest payout

Once a normal schedule payout is received, Taxomate will process the sales and fee data for previous on-demand payouts. Reconcile this latest payout in your accounting software to ensure that all sales and fee data from previous payouts are accurately recorded and reflected in your accounting software.

  3. Adjustment amounts will be included

When the standard schedule is followed and old sales data is sent from Taxomate, we will also provide an adjustment amount to match the withdrawal amounts sent from each on-demand payout. This will help you reconcile the withdrawal amounts accurately.

By occasionally following eBay's standard payout schedule and allowing Taxomate to process the complete sales and fees data, you can continue to use on-demand payouts while maintaining accurate records in your accounting software.

If you have any further questions or concerns regarding on-demand eBay payouts and how Taxomate handles sales and fee data, please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance.
